Cara North
Cara is actually a Kentucky girl. Born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky she
went into the Marine Corps two weeks after graduating from high school. She spent a year in Okinawa, Japan and then moved
to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. It was there that she met her husband. It was a stapler incident that brought the two Marines
together. With only 6 months to decide, she chose to leave the Marines and marry one.
Cara holds a Bachelors of Science in Psychology, a Masters of Education in Curriculum
and Instruction and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in the same.
She began writing as a child as a means of escaping the realities of a poor childhood.
As an adult, writing became an escape from the day to day routine, boredom when her husband is deployed, and depression.
Writing is not about fortune, it is about fame, it is about knowing that somewhere
in the world someone is reading her book and they relate to a character, they laugh, they cry, and they escape into her world
for a little while before going back to their own realities.
